A Detroit Law Firm — Since 1981

John R. Foley has tried and settled cases in southeast Michigan since 1981, and has served as a mediator since the 1990s. As mediator he acts as liaison, communicator, and evaluator in a structured settlement negotiation. The role is to help the parties construct their own resolution, not to impose one. John accepts mediation assignments in family law, probate and trust disputes, commercial disputes, and the full range of civil matters, by agreement of the parties or on referral from the court.

Sessions

Mediations are scheduled Monday through Friday in two half-day sessions: a morning session from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and an afternoon session from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Sessions may be booked from two days to three months in advance, and are held either at the firm’s Dearborn office, 18572 W. Outer Dr., or by Zoom.
